Description
----------------------------------------------------------
The MIT Club of Boston is pleased to kick off this year's Boston Energy Series - the ongoing look into the cutting edge of energy technology and policy.
Join us on Tuesday, September 14 for "Efficient Buildings" at National Grid's New England Corporate Office, one of the first buildings to receive the Platinum-level LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The building is one of only two single-tenant buildings in the world to earn LEED Platinum designation for both core and shell construction and for its commercial interior. It is the first certified LEED Platinum core and shell building in Massachusetts, and one of just a handful in the state to earn Platinum-level LEED commercial interior certification.
Please register in advance for this event where we'll learn what it takes to achieve LEED Platinum Status, and take a look inside a "Zero Net Energy Building." The program will also feature a presentation from Ellen Watts (MIT AR '85), Principle and Co-Founder of Architerra Inc., an architecture, community design, and development advisory firm dedicated to sustainable design and smart growth.
